Herpes simplex virus as in your case may be recurrentRecurrent cystitis or persistent. One may be infected with the virus but may stay asymptomatic for some time.Physical and psychologicalChild neglect and psychological abuse stressors may actually trigger an episode of burning pain and blistering.During this phase, the patient is contagious.
Are you currently taking any new medications (not necessarily for the herpes?)
I suggest that you discuss this with your physician. Some patients improve with the use of lysine for herpes.Lysine is an amino acid ( a unit of protein) and was shown to prevent and shorten the course of the infection.
You may want to ask your physician about this as this may be a useful adjunct to your usual medications.
At this point, I sugest that you avoid chocolates, oats ,whole wheat, and peanuts as these may increase the risk of herpetic attacks.
