what if hyper pigmentation is due to tinea infection in groins how can it be removed
Hi,
The discoloration of the groin area is due to the friction caused by rubbing of the thighs, this causes the skin to thicken as a protective mechanism.Thickening of the skin protects it against rubbing, pressure and irritation.
Along with the thickening there is some amount of skin pigmentation. Creams that contain the active ingredient salicylic acid, alpha-hydroxy acid (lactic or glycolic acid), urea, or tretinoin soften the keratin and remove the thickened skin.
Skin lightening agents like Hydroquinone 2-4% can also be used. applied on the affected areas twice daily.
