how to stop scalp digging

how can Istop digging my scalp/head??? it itches just as much as it hurts. yet I still feel the need to dig & scratch open
scabbed sores. HELP!!!!please!!!!

Since you’ve got the complaint of itchy scalp, you may be suffering from Tinea Capitis or Ringworm (fungal infection) of the scalp. Ringworm is a fungal skin infection that occurs on the face, body or scalp. The symptoms of Ringworm or Tinea Capitis include a dry itchy scalp, scaling, crusting, inflamed nodules, hair loss and tender enlarged lymph nodes on the neck.  Second possibility is of any allergic reaction to the shampoos and seborrheic dermatitis.

I suggest you to get these three possibilities ruled out from a dermatologist as treatment is diagnosis specific.
