In cases like this ,you need to wash your face with cold tap water and apply a moisturizer on the area. You only use a mild or bland cleanser when washing the area. The face is very sensitive so be careful in using OTC products as they may only aggravate the condition. A mild moisturizer applied over the affected area of the face may help until the redness subsides. If there is intense pain, you may take pain relievers for as long as you have no associated allergies with any of them. Solarcaine may be used for emergent cases. For the face, do not spray directly.Be careful in using this as this may irritate the eyes. Spray in palm first before applying to affected areas of the face. This may help relieve the pain.
Presently, if the pain and redness have subsided, continue using moisturizers on the area. Oatmeal wash and aloe wash may also help.
