hypopigmenation

My daughter underwent laser hair removal with an alexandrite laser.  we are told that she is a type 3-4 skin and that all the settings were "within the companies" range of power.  but she got burned "like circular sun burns.  now 1 month later it is well healed and smooth with circular white patches called hypopigmentation.  i know this may / should continue to heal itself but is there any way to expedite it like creams or tanning the lightened areas?  Any thoughts?

There's really no way to speed the repigmentation, but you are correct to assume it will even out by itself.  As to the settings being within parameters, those depend on factors within the patient, such as skin color, presence of tan, etc.  Any further treatments will obviously have to be at lower settings.

Best.
