i have a sinister looking purple vein on my scrotum

hi i am 19 year old male and i was checking my testicals when i noticed a purlpe vein on my scrotum it looks simalar to a spider vein / varicose vein and if touched has a pain i am more conserned i have never spotted it before, is this a new vien is it as sinister as it looks ?? i can attach a picture of the vein if needed

Varicocele is an abnormal enlargement of the veins in the scrotum. That's what this sounds like. They are common and typically don't cause any problems.
They are just like spider veins.
