iching and welmps

just a few days ago my skin start itching like crazy... when ever i scatch welmps come up all over where i sctatch i never saw this before.. when i scratch my skin

One of the possibilities for your symptoms is hives or urticaria. Hives have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours.

Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known. Others may be triggered by viral infections or medications. The treatment of hives consists of antihistaminics, calamine lotion and steroids. So please get the diagnosis confirmed from a dermatologist. Sometimes the treatment of hives may have to be taken for 6 weeks also.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. i have had severe itching on my scalp , other areas of the body and more so on the nape of the neck and behind the ears. This stated a few weeks back. The dermatologist diagnosed it as urticaria,suggested allegra and a soothing cream and i did find relief , but only till the time i was taking the medicines . I am not sure what to do now, whether to continue with the medicines . I am not allergic to any kind of food.Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated ..thanks ..
