indented scars dermabrasion or laser surgery?

Hello Doctor,
I have been considering quite seriously having a skin resurfacing method done of my face. I dont know which treatment would be better for removing the light indented scars on my face, on both cheeks..
Do you have any suggestions?

hey bud, i hate to burst your bubble but accutane doesn't clear acne forever. i took it for 6 months, which the acne completely went away. then about 6 months later it came back, not as worse but i'm on benzimycn(sP?). it sure does the trick though when you take it.

Natasha:

Both dermabrasion and laser resurfacing can, in experienced hands, help some indented scars.  The key is "experienced."  You should find one, or a few, dermaologists or plastic surgeons who have performed these procedures on a lot of people, and work with them to get a full idea of the pluses and minuses of what you can expect.  To get names, you can speak to friends, or check the website of the Americn Academy of Dermatology, www.aad.org.

Best.
