ingrown hair or what

hi i have this problem on one side of my thigh there not glusters but they itch sometimes they have little white heads there nerd candy size and have a strand of hair coming out they sting but don't burn and its not uncomfortable to do anything but i'm scared and i wont to know what it is i shaved down there before and some of my hair is growing back and they are reddish there on my balls too on both side of thighs but on left side there a little bigger but not in glusters and i have a little more hair on my right side and my hair grows curly i think i have something i have had unprotected sex before twice but both have far apart  but its weirding me out i just pop the little white head and nothing came out and they only sting when i touch them can u help me doc or somebody tell me the right thing if been trying find pictures and can't find jack please thanks

From the symptoms they sound like infected hair follicles or folliculitis. Folliculitis starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. In most cases of folliculitis, the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph).

Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Also use the antibiotics that you have been prescribed by your dermatologist.
