This may be a case of balanitis or it could be a superficial skin irritation brought about by the sexual activity.
I suggest that you continue to observe your condition. Refrain from any sexual activity at the moment as this will only aggravate the condition. This does not sound like herpes at this point. Herpes presents with a cluster of vesicles or bumps containing fluid on a reddish base. Is this present?
