I  have pubic hair that grows on the base and shaft of my penis...i normally do nOt shave that region but i have in the past...i believe (HOPE) that they are ingrown hairs/hair bumps...but the bumps are sore to the touch and cluster in some areas...this has me scared...i have had unprotected sex with two partners IN THE LAST MONTH...but neither have herpes (from what they tell me) the bumps are big and small, itch, and kind of swell the area they are located in...they also redish in cloror... the bumps are filled with pus and the do bust...the bumps are not on the shaft of the penis nor the scrodum area...I've had them for a week and they hurt...how do i get rid of them???

Hi,

This appears to be folliculitis.

This is caused by infection in the duct of the hair or the oil glands which causes swelling, redness, pain and pus discharge.

They may need examination and tests before a final diagnosis is made.

After that a course of anti-biotics, oral and for local application may be prescribed.
Keep the area clean and hygienic. It is best that this area is not shaved and use alternative means of hair removal are used.

let me know if you may need any more help.
