is laser scar surgery legit and effective?

i got a bug bite on my cheek about 3 years ago, i scratched it and it left a scar. about 3 months ago it got irritated and i picked on it and it made it worse. i have tried all remedies and im starting to consider laser scar surgery. i have tried everything and i just want this gone :( my questions are: is laser scar surgery effective? what type of treatment do you think i need for my scar, and is there any good laser scar surgery places in los angeles? thank you for reading.

For such type of scar firstly, treatments with acids and chemical peels can be effective but can take a while for the skin to totally revert to its normal color.  Microdermabrasion can also be done, but this might require several sessions.  Skin resurfacing using lasers is also an option.
