Hi! I've got the same thing as Mark!! so I join his question.. steroids helped me a lot but after using them for a year I developed a terrible steroid induced rosacea and I'm currently taking minocycline to get rid of it.. i think it helps with the rosacea(the bumps, papules are gone) but still I get this nasty itchy redness next to my nose
with flaky skin between my eyebrows. Please help it really affects my self confidence and I'm just 23 and I want to enjoy my youth, im desperate to cure it somehow.. I only managed to figure out that alcohol, central
heating, sometimes coffee and microwaved pizza and deffinetely stress make it worst.. steroids help but I dont want to use them I did for a year and that's already too much.. I attach a photo.. thank you for any help
Based on the image and the details you have provided in your post, this sounds like rosacea. Avoid any possible triggers for the flare ups. Rosacea may be influenced by smoke, weather and certain food. So avoid any of these as much as possible. You have been taking oral antibiotics which appeared to have improved your condition. Oral medications for rosacea may help to improve the condition. You may need topical medications for this. You may ask your physician for the right topical medication in your case. You have noted that the condition has improved. In this case, a topical medication may be able to control the flare ups.
