is this tick bite infected

is this tick bite infected

hi i have added a link to click on to see the bite which i am referring to as it is almost impossible for me to describe acurately enough for anyone to maybe answer my question :

my husband had a sheep tick bite last week on the back of his thigh, just below his buttocks and i managed to get the tick out completly with its head intact.  It then started to get the telltale bullseye rash so he went to the doctors (we are in uk) and the doctor he saw admitted she had never dealt with a tick bite and phoned our hospital...he was asked to go to the hospital to the infectious diseases clinic and went along, taking tick with him...He was examined and tick was examined and its a ixodes rinicus?? spelling.....well he was given DOXYCYCLINE 200mg 4 x a day and he has been taking them as described but he is complaining of pain the muscles in the front of his thigh and after looking at the pictures i took of the bite over the last 3 days, im not sure if it looks as it should or wether he needs to go back to the infectious clinic and get them to have another look???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
