itch in groin area

I have had this groin itch for awhile, trying jock itch creams.

But it does not go away after amonth.

I read that somebody treated theirs succesfully by going to public pool. That seemed weird but they said sitting in the pol for awhile cured it

So I am trying clorox wipes that come in a pop up container. A few times a day on my junk.  These are the kind you supposd to use on counters not people,   but...

well it's been two days and it seems to help (a lot) .

I am hoping it removes the funk on my junk.

anybody ever hear of clorox disinfecting wipes as a treatment?

Probably would not be endorsed but I am just wonderin/

Hi,

You need to wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites.

Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions and see if it helps. You could take some oral antihistamine medications like cetrizine or loratadine. You need to maintain a good personal hygiene .

Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin.

For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).

Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema. Keeping the affected area moistened can promote skin healing and relief of symptoms.

Let us know if you need any further information.

It would be advisable to consult a skin specialist for your symptoms and a proper clinical examination.

Let us know if you need any other information and post us on how you are doing.

Regards.

thanks, I sit at desk a lot. I do keep clean but it seems like if I get a little moisture from sweat it starts itchin again.

Those wipes are a quick way of relieving it and that clorox may get whatever it is ?

I guess you dont like the clorox part or you woulda said so.

but I will try that calomine lotion.

thanks.
