Eucerin cream is the best lotion to use for dry, itchy skin that I have found.  Give it a try.  Otherwise, if that doesnt work see your dermatologist for prescription strength topicals.

have you ever had your liver enzymes checked?  this can sometimes be a symptom of liver issue.

A couple new antihistamines (Zyrtec, Clarinex) are going OTC on January 27th.   More than half the time antihistamines are helpful.   If it turns out to be the liver or pancreas, Ursodiol or Cholestyramine can help--and if it DOES help, you've got a pretty good idea what the root problem is.
