itching and burning?

by saturn1, Sep 09, 2003 12:00AM
i'm a 33yr old male - i have had one sexual partner in the last six years -the problem is that i have a sort of burning, itching sensation around the base of the penis.there seems to be no sore, bumps, pimples, redness ,etc.sometimes it seems to extend down the side of the penis and underneath -no marks-redness.etc.it also seems to be in the pubic region.i have no idea what's going on -can you help?

Most likely irritation or eczema, nothing more.  I suggest applying Sarna lotion (over-the-counter) as needed for itch, and perhaps 1% hydrocortiosne cream twice a day for a few days.  Avoid heat, friction, or rubbing.  If that doesn't take care of it, please show a doctor.

Best.

I am having the same problem, but mine is accompanied by a patch of light pink dry itchy skin, and has double in size over the last 6 months...(about an inch long, and half an inch wide) Im still a teenager and too insecure to show my parents or ask to see the doctor, is there an over the counter treatment for this.

Oh yeah I am still a virgin so it cant be an std.
