itching of the scrodum for over a year--HELP!!!

by wayne77, Aug 30, 2009 01:11AM
For over a year now I have had a reacurring itching of the left scrodum. The itching usually only happens at night when I go to bed; during the day, it rarely itches; although sometimes the itching will happen during the day. I have tried anti fungal creams with no avail. When the itching starts, it is very intense and cannot be ignored. I noticed that when the itching has started, and I have scratched the area, that the skin seems to be alot thicker and wrinkled; almost like it is swollen skin. There is no burning sensation, except when I itch it too much and make the skin raw, no redness, and no secretions. Can anybody give me some insight into this and help me get rid of it? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
