itchy & swolle face

my mom is 65y/o & all of a sudden she woke up with a swollen/bloated face. She went to the doctor & gave her shot. After five days whe went back to the doctor because her face became so red & very itchy. my mom is not known of taking any medications.she only used herbal medications & apply it externally. she said that her nape became itchy & scally.I thought this might be psoriasis.please give me a general advise.thanks
