" all over. Besides not being aestethic, they are also very annoying as when they bleed I need to press a cotton ball or the like as otherwise blood runs down the body -- quite enoying if I am in a meeting ... I could stop scratchting but it is almost not concious I do it until I see it is bleeding. There have been also bigger itching
. These areas left a darker tissue which I conceal with make up. It looks like I have 2 butterflies in each side of the neck.
In the past 2 months also the skin of my hands palms has been peeling. Looks like a fungus. Not sure.
What is going on? I am a female of 46 years old.
This could be an allergic reaction or insect bites.
You need to wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. Wash all your clothes and linen etc in savlon, chlorhexidine solution and sun - dry them preferably.
Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions and see if it helps. You could take some oral antihistamine medications like cetrizine or loratadine. You need to maintain a good personal hygiene .
Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamines like loratadine or cetrizine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin.
It would be advisable to consult a skin specialist for your symptoms and a proper clinical examination. You might need injectables if your symptoms are persistent.
