itchy feet and red bumps

My feet have been itchy for months and I get rashes between my toes.  The DR thought it was a fungal infection and gave me a cream to help.  Betweeen my toes is better, but the bottom of my feet still itch horribly and I occasionally have red bumps associated with the itching.  It is so bad, it wakes me at night.  Any ideas?

Diagnosis of a fungal infection of the foot is usually with obtaining skin scrapings of the skin lesion and evaluating it under the microscope. Fungal infection usually responds with medication. However, this takes a while before it resolves. Over the counter anti histamine medication may help with the itching. Try to keep the area clean and dry.
If this persists, it would be best to have a follow- up appointment with your doctor for further evaluation.
