Hi,
This could have been caused due to an allergy by any number of factors. It is commonly observed that the same food may cause different reactions among different people. An individual’s genetic predisposition to allergies will determine which part of his body will become the vulnerable target organ or tissue.
Some of the common trigger factors are:
Foods (commonly eggs, shellfish, nuts, berries, dyes, or other additives)
•Drugs (any drug can touch off an allergic reaction, although allergies to penicillin, sulfa, and aspirin are especially common)
•Pollens and plants (nettles, poison ivy, poison oak, and so on)
You can take oral anti-histamines for the rash and also apply Calamine lotion to soothe the affected skin.
