itchy skin

by Karoo03, Aug 04, 2009 11:41AM
As concerns itchy skin in the area around the neck and back, has any one pursued  detergents as the cause? I have most of the time an itch  in this area without any evidence of it from the appearence of the skin.Yet, this past weekend , I stayed in a motel and this same area broke out with a significant rash and accompanying itch. Now, several days later, that rash is gone. It may ge my imagination, but I thought I felt some agitation from the sheets and towels.I still have the non-visible type and wonder whether the two are caused by the same thing or whether thet are separate. In other words, could the motel's detergent be stronger than mine which was why my reaction was worse than usual.  Are there detergents that claim that they are allergy free?
