its NOT scabies i dont think

This has been going on for awhile, at 1st we thought we had lice, spent $600 on lice treatments with doctor trips and cleared up for sometime but never totally. I am a single mom of a  yr old.  then the scabs on head started, typically MY mother at this point is ready to lock me in an instutution for being insane since we have never seen what has been biting me or my daughter and the cost of laundry and treatments in in the thousands.  So here is what the current situation is, it seems like dandruff, but it isnt, its like TINY mites/worms even. if u pull out one of my hair follicles (yes even one down there) it is covered with some sort of casing!  Mom wont even look nor talk about it, and she has convinced me i am crazy as well at this point.  Through out the day u can look at my eyebrows and see micro grain of rice lookig things, as well as in my pubic area, hair, eye lashes.  Now the kicker is I have started to get TERRIBLE acne!  and i can pop a pimple and a nymph-like worm comes out about the size of a louse...this is so sick i cant even believe i am typing this!  But my mother has me REALLY thinking i am dillusional now, and i am affraid to go to the doctor! 'HAHA  a late 20s single mom affraid of being instatutuionalized over a skin parasite! But i cant find anything that matches! PLEASE HELP ME......HAS anyone heard of such a thing?  or where i can look?  i do have 2 cats and a dog all old animals, but they seem fine

Hello,
It looks like dandruff rather than scabies bites. Dandruff can cause either an overly dry scalp with itchy white flakes that may be waxy or greasy, or it can manifest as an oily scalp with scales.
Eat a healthy diet. You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help. The most effective ingredients -- antimicrobials -- to look for are zinc pyridinethione, selenium sulfide, sulfur and ketoconazole (also available by prescription). If your hair is colored, don't use products with selenium sulfide or sulfur.

If the symptoms persist please consult a trichologist for the confirmatory diagnosis and treatment.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
