Tinea cruris or jock itch is a fungal infection of the groin region that presents with itching or a burning sensation in the groin area, thigh skin folds, or anus. It may involve the inner thighs and genital areas, as well as extending back to the perineum and perianal areas. Jock itch is only mildly contagious. It can spread from person to person by shared use of contaminated towels or clothing or through direct contact during sexual intercourse with someone who has the infection.
Take care and regards.
