Hello,
Steroid injections are best used as the scar begins to thicken or if the person is a known keloid former.Since you have taken only a few steroid shots,so chances of recurrence are there.I would suggest a dermatologist’s evaluation and cryosurgery/ laser treatment for the same.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.

Hello,
Cryo means cold.So cryosurgery is the application of cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue. Most commonly liquid nitrogen is used as the cooling solution. So please discuss this option with your dermatologist.

I hope that helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
Keloid scars are known to extend on the surrounding skin and cause growth. Steroid injections should be given only for flattening the keloids but it is not necessary that if you don’t take steroid injections, then keloids grow in size.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
