latex-spandex

my pams and fingers are cracking and peeling. one dr said eczema, the next dr said latex allergy. almost cleared up from 2nd dr but worn spandex gloves and now hands are bad again. hard to work or do anything.is spandex related to latex.

Cloth like nylon and spandex contain latex and may cause contact dermatitis or an allergic reaction. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Zyrtec and apply some calamine lotion on the itchy areas. If the symptoms persist then you may need topical and oral steroids. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
