I've had tags burnt off and not only was it painful it got infected. That was the last time for that method. I've ripped and clipped them off with success. Haven't tried the tie method as I get them in places like under the arm and one hand won't do it.

Are you referring to skin tags?

Skin tags may not necessarily need further intervention. Picking on them or forcibly removing them may increase the chance of an infection. Skin tags may just fall off. This is similar to filiform warts which may be pedunculated or stalked. That is, they are quite movable. You may ask your physician to help you in applying salicylic acid on the smaller inaccessible ones. I would not advise that you do this by yourself as you may affect normal skin.
