lips fungal?

hello

I have some kind of fungal infection on the middle of my upper lip (between upper and lower lip). it is about 3mm wide and 4mm long.
it looks similar to an athlete foot infection to me.

is anything I could buy to remove it, or should I go to the doctor?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be cheilitis, actinic cheilitis, leukoplakia or lichen planus. It is very rare for fungal infections to present on lips. Lichen planus is an inflammatory disease that affects the skin and the oral mucosa, and presents itself in the form of papules(flat spots) or rashes.

To confirm the diagnosis please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
