hi,

did the rash develop after you may consumed a medication in your last visit to the doctor?

Please also provide a description of the rash. it is unclear whether it is just red skin or is it inflamed and itchy and has specific lesions like bumps or welts on top.

I hope you may have used OTC anti-histamines and calamine lotion to help you with the itching.

Best regards

to be specific the rash is on my thighs, stomach, chest, arms, and back/underarm. i got the rash about the last few days in may and have had it since then. the only thing that help is when i am near the cold it helps reduce the itching. my general health status besides the rash is great but i was just in to the doctor last week for a strep throat. please write back.

Hi,

There are many causes for itchy skin lesions. These may include fungal and bacterial infections, allergies, eczema, parasitic infestations etc.,

Please give us more information regarding the origin, development, location and symptoms associated with the rash. also give us more information on your geeneral health ststus to help us evaluate you better.

Fungal infections also known as ring worm are cicular with central clearing. antifungals are the mainstay for treatment.

Eczema and allergies are initiated by allergens/triggers and are treated with anti-histamines and steroid applications.

Each of the other entities have varied presentations and treatments, and therefore would have varied treatments.

Please give us more information to help you better.
