looks like chicken pox, but isn't

hi, a few days ago i noticed that i had a few red bumps on my feet. At first only 2 or 3 on each foot, but then i ended up with about 5+ on each foot. The first few days they were bumped up and very ichy, but now they're pretty much flat. I guess they look kind of like chicken pox, only they aren't blistering like chicken pox do (also i've had chicken pox as a child). The spots are pretty red, almost a purpleish red. I know they aren't bed bug bites, because i checked my bed for bed bugs and there weren't any. Also, they aren't clumped together...they're all at least an inch from the next, and i even have one on my knee! I'm just kind of puzzled on what they could be. :/
