My daughter who is now 14 starting losing her eyelashes about 2 1/2 years ago, and after about 6 month of when this began, she lost all of them. I took her to several doctors, and a dermatologist has prescribed Protopic to put around the area where her eyelashes would grow. They did grow back but grew in short and extremely thick but she was happy. He had her stop the ointment and within a few days they started to fall out. We started on the ointment again but it doesn't seem to be working like it did before. I'm worried about using the Protopic for such a long period of time because although her dermatologist says it's safe
, I don't think it's been used for this purpose for that long (it's really for a type of skin rash) so who knows. I'm wondering if there is anything else others are using that works, or if anyone has heard anything different about the Protopic. Someone mentioned Kenelog injections and I was wondering what that's all about. My daughter is otherwise healthy, but this is really devastating for her and has completely changed her personality
