mastocytoma

by helpmoms, Jan 09, 2008 03:33PM
Hello, My son is nine months and the bump on his back appeared early in life. When I took him to the dermatologist he rubbed it and nothing happened immediately; until about 5 minutes. Then it appeared to be irritated but not swallon. He explained that it was mastocytoma and that it would go away as he aged. Several weeks after that visit a scab produced and it continued to look bothersome but eventually went back to normal. It has now been three months and it is surrounded with a little red circle, and has become course again. It also seems as though it is now sensitive to the touch. Does this sound as though we are on the right page?
