minoxidil allegy after chicken pox

I'm 20 (male). Okay i was using minoxidil 5% for 6 months and had awesome results and then i got chicken pox last year in april, 2008. So i stopped using it due to chicken pox. After i recovered from chicken pox, every time i started using minoxidil within a day or two of using i would develop intense flaking, itchiness and redness of scalp. And before my chicken pox i never had any allergic reaction to minoxidil. And recently as in 2 days back i started using rogaine minoxidil foam 5%, hoping it would work. But there isn't any redness or soreness on the scalp, only one thing that my scalp is now excessively oily and flaky. What to do? this is so complicated for me. please suggest what to do, should i continue using the foam?
