mole removed, scarring?

mole removed, scarring?

ok, so i went to the dermatologist today and he had to remove a mole because he didnt like the coloring of it. the mole was more of a birthmark - flat on the skin. so he had to remove it by "cutting it out". as a result he gave me 3 stitches that are to be removed in 2 weeks. my question is, will there be a scar, if so will it be big? also will limiting mobility lessen the chance of getting a more noticeable scar?

Hello,
Since stitches have been applied, so possibility is there that it will scar. Apply some calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You can also apply some good hypoallergenic moisturizer and some Mederma on the skin if it is a scar. If the symptoms persist then you can consult a dermatologist and get the scar evaluated to discuss about the treatment options with him.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
