mole

by kk417, Oct 29, 2008 01:25PM
My 7 year old red haired, fair skinned son had a mole on his scalp removed by scrapeing last week.  The path report showed atypical cells and we went back to make sure that all was removed and more was scraped out.  1. Is this possiblly caused by lice treatment done 2 years ago?  2.How common are atypical moles in children? 3. What is the percentage chance that it will turn in melanoma now?  4.Was this the correct removal method instead of removal by an incision?  Thank you, I am very afraid since he is so young.
