Molluscum contagiosum is a common, benign, self limiting viral infection of the skin. It generally affects children and typically occurs in the 2-5 age group but no age is immune and you can get molluscum contagiosum at any age . In adults also , molluscum infections are often sexually transmitted and can transmit from one site to other skin sites by aoutoinocultaion.
