more questions about scabies..

i applied the permethrin cream. does that mean that it will stop the spread to objects that i havent come in contact withuntil after i applied the cream? or do i have to use newly washed (daily) sheets everytime i go to bed? i did use newly washed sheets right now, but i dont want to have to keep doing it. its annoying. how long can it take to clear up? please answer my questions. i would really appreciate it. if i go to work, ill ask a doctor there, but i really dont want to go to work because i dont know if ill spread it after the application of the cream. thank you.

It usually takes about 1 to 2 days for the itching to go away after permethrin treatment; however, sometimes the itching can last for 2-3 weeks. If the treatment is effective, there should be no new rashes or burrows after 24 to 48 hours.

The bedsheets should be washed daily for around 2-3 days as the mite can live for around the same time. Also, all other members of the household should be treated, too. Each room in the house should be vacuumed, and the vacuum cleaner bag should then be thrown away.
