more warts or something else???

Hello,

I had a genital wart removed from the top shaft of my penis recently at a Dermatologist.  This wart was actually two warts almost connected to each other, about 3mm across.  I had it for several years, however it took me this long to realize it was a wart.  Anyway I had it frozen off.  When I got home, I was inspecting my penis(circumcised) and I noticed another tiny wart that I hadn't noticed before.  The dermatologist I went to didn't really inspect my penis very closely...he just gave it a quick once over with his naked eye.  So I went back a couple of days later and got the smaller one frozen off.  I also had a couple of other tiny things on my penis that I wasn't quite sure about so I asked the Derm what he thought about them and he said if I thought there was even a possiblility that they were warts that I should freeze them as well.  He said this was fine because even if they weren't warts it would be ok to freeze whatever they were just to be sure.  After getting three other tiny questionble growths frozen, I no longer believe that they were warts, just tiny skin tags or cysts or some other type of blemish.  Now here is where my questions kind of comes in--upon close inspection of my penis, about 5mm directly below my peehole on the underside, I have these small round, whiteish color growths or cysts or more warts...I'm not quite sure what they are.  Only one appears to be rasied above the skin or on top of the skin, this one is just smaller than 1mm in diameter.  The other three appear to be more in the skin...you pretty much have to stretch the skin to see them clearly, although you can kind of see them without stretching.  These are slightly smaller then the the one that is 1mm.  I'm wondering whether or not these are more warts or just some other normal part of my anatomy?  I have my six week follow up appointment at the Derm in a week and I'm guessing that he will want to freeze the area just to make sure.  I didn't really care to be froze those other times and I'm guessing that this area would be ultra sensitive.  I'm just wondering if I should go to a different Derm--one that will actually closely inspect them and not just freeze.  My skin is still recovering from the first round of freezing.  Are there any Derms that you could recommend in the Portland, OR area????  I feel that I may just be a little paranoid about them being more warts, mainy because of the three that are kind of in the skin.  Is it common to have glands or cysts in this area of the penis???  I'm pretty sure that I've had them for as long as I can remember and they haven't grown.  They almost look like whiteheads, although they can't be popped.  I also wanted to mention that I do have sebacious glands running up the underside of my penis about 3/4 of the way up.

Thanks,
-mobrien

These sound like cysts, not warts.  I advise you to see another dermatologist, who won't have to bolster his previous decision by freezing just to make sure.  (Not that doing that is always a bad idea, but within reason.)  If the new doctor decides these bumps need freezing, you'll feel more confident about the decision.

Best.
