My 12 1/2 week old granddaughter has warts in her mouth. She was born by c-section so I doubt it has anything to do with genital warts. she developed this sore in the center on the top of her mouth, within days of being born, It was like a red pimple then hardened into a white crusty bump. She now has one developing on the inside of the gum on the side of her mouth. What is this? It was treated with liquidLiquid barosperse Liquid calcium with vitamin d Liquid co-q10 Liquid e-z paque Liquid pedvaxhib Liquid polibar Liquid pred nyastatin administered by eye dopper but that had littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys effect. The physician seeing the baby told her parents that if it had not cleared up by Nov he may have to surgically remove them.
In my opinion you should talk to a pediatrician/dermatologist about this and get these warts evaluated..
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Warts are benign growths caused by HPV inside the mouth of infants. Infants who are affected were usually infected during the birthing process. For small warts, several medications(like podophyllum resin, Podofilox (Condylox), Trichloroacetic and bichloroacetic acids, Imiquimod 5% cream and interferons) are available, which can be applied directly to the surface of the warts. Other treatment options include electrical cautery, surgical removal, Carbon dioxide laser treatment and electrodesiccation.
