multiple hairs in one follicle

Dr. Rockoff,
Thank you for your response a couple of weeks ago regarding 2-3 hairs growing out of one follicle.
I'm still a little confused though...I know I'm not the only one with this occurring, as I've seen it on several of my friends.
That being said, have YOU ever seen this before?  Is this purely genetics?  As a 29 year old male, is it typical for the density of my body hair to increase so much?  I've stumbled across lots of info regarding hair shaft dysplasias i.e. pili gemini, pili bifurcati, pili multigemini.  The internet makes all of these conditions sound like they're so rare, only 200,000 cases.  I've even considered acquired hypertrichosis.
Finally, do you know of any nutritional deficiencies that could cause increased hair growth?
Once again, thank you.

No, I can't say that I've seen this phenomenon myself.  I honestly can't think of any medical conditions, serious r otherwise, that your observation would fit.  I think you should ignore it or, if having these hairs bothers you, laser them off.

Best.
