multiple halo nevi on adult....

hello...i am a 34 yo caucasian female who has recently developed multiple halo nevi all over my body...nealy every mole has turned (between 30-40.) i have also developed some vitalto on my shin. my dermatologist has never seen this many halos on one person and has referred me to u of penn in phila for more exams. has anyone ever seen/heard of this? his concern is that this is not the 'disease' but a symptom of my body fighting something interanlly; but what/where the problem could be is up in the air, if there is a problem at all. it could be just a lot of halos. any help would be wonderful....it is stressing me out and no one seems to know what to do. thank you in advance.

Hi, I'm a 54 year old white female who began developing multiple halo nevi in June of this year.  I am fair skinned and freckled with numerous moles on my body.  The halos began on the moles on my upper torso and face and eventually included my entire body.  I've been experiencing several other symptoms since February, 2009, including migraine-like headaches, trouble swallowing, muscle weakness, joint pain, involuntary muscle spasms, fatigue, loss of concentration, difficulty remembering, central nervous system involvement, and more.  The neurologist found a 10 mm pineal cyst and the general practitioner found a nodule and cyst on my thyroid gland.  I'm seeing an endocrinologist in November.  My journey continues to find a diagnosis and I'm interested to see how your case develops.
