my partner has Molluscum Contagiosum.

hello im a 19 year old gay male. my partner who i am sexually active with for 6 months has a small whitehead like wart/bump on his pubic region. He doesn't know how long he has had it but the doctor said it looks like Molluscum contagiosum. So what do we do now...? What should he do to get red of the virus as effictively as possible without spreading it etc? and What should I do now, should i cut off all sexual activity for a certain period of time or just avoid that one spot (maybe cover it)? Do you think i may already have it? im stressin.... HELP PLEASE!! THANKS!

Molluscum contagiosum is a common, contagious, benign, self limiting viral infection of the skin. In adults, molluscum infections are often sexually transmitted and can transmit from one site to other skin sites by aoutoinocultaion. Treatment includes physical destruction or manual extrusion of the lesions, cryotherapy, and curettage.
