hi, my son is 5 and was diagnosed with psoriasis. they gave him a prescription, a gel, that supposedly you apply for 6 weeks but its been way longer than that and it doesnt go away. or it will clear a little but in a couple of days it will get scaly and dry again. my question is does this ever go away? does anybody have any info on psoriasis, especially on kids. he's had it for like 2 years more or less. its not that bad but he's so young and i wonder if theres a cure or if it will get worse or cause any other health problems. especially cause he has it around his eyes, on his scalp, behind his ears
, and a small dot on one of his butt cheeks. he's my baby boy and im scared that anything will happen to him. he says it doesnt itch or hurt but just to think that he has it so close to his eyes.. anyone with any answers i would greatly appreciate it. thanks
tar, dithranol (anthralin), corticosteroids like Topicort Desoximetasone), vitamin D3 analogues (for example, calcipotriol), and retinoids are routinely used.'
There are other measures to be taken and your doctor can tell you more about it.
