nails

wake up every two months or so . all 5 fingernails on my left hand are black as if hit by a hammer or the like. nails seperate from fingers during the next two weeks ,no pain , no fungus on toes or right hand.nails slowly re grow back .  later it happens again litterly overnight . idont think this is a fungus.have date with dermotoligsts but by that all will probably look ok  .any ideas  mostly a curiosity now but people who seeit say it isnt normal in any way  thanks

Makes no sense to me at all.  Fungus doesn't look black, and certainly doesn't appear on 5 nails overnight.  And if there was blood under the nail from trauma, it would take 3-4 months to grow out.  My advice is to photograph it when it happens, in case it isn't there when you see the dermatologist.  But it's not fungus.
