need some help please!

about a month ago my girlfriend pointed out a small red spot on the base of my penis,kind of like a brush burn from intercorse so thats what i thought it was until i noticed my pubic area was covered with light red/tan flaky blotches.i figured where from shaving,i left it alone and figured it would go away.it didnt they got lighter now a light tan in my pubic area and flaky like dry skin but every time i have intercorse one at the base of my penis will open up from rubbing i guess,they do not itch.no tingling or anything please help!!!

It can be due to dermatitis skin, seborrheic dermatitis or eczema skin. It causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp under the nose or anywhere on face. People with seborrheic dermatitis produce too much sebum (the natural skin oil). Later, pityrosporum yeast grows excessively in the sebum.

Topical antifungals and mild steroids are the usual treatment and combination of the two can be used to treat stubborn patches. Oral antifungal drugs and immunomodulators such as tacrolimus and pimecrolimus are used in very severe cases. The other possibilities are of eczema or dermatitis. Best would be to consult a dermatologist and get biopsy skin done to confirm the diagnosis.
