Hi,
You should not use any medicated products on your face without a physician consultation. Hydrocortisone is a steroid preparation which can in fact cause acne on the face as a side effect. It is indicated for eczema, as in the case of your son.
You need to consult your physician for your acne and do not use the hydrocortisone cream. Keep your face clean and wash it regularly. That should help.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
