oily face deals with still acne and possible scars

Hello, i am 23 years old, female and healthy for the most part. Since my teen years and going through acne  i still have a problem with acne. Including that around my lower jaw areas vertically from my chin. i have noticed that i have of what looks likes 'scars' or like someone dented in my skin. My face is naturally oily and have gone through different kinds of medicine and washes to fix this but sadly hardly any work except St. Ives swiss formula for blackheads( since i have tiny ones mostly on my nose and deep chin) and so far it's been making my face feel clean.I'm just failing to understand why am i still getting zits mostly around my chin( since i try extremely hard to not ever touch my face or chin to spread the oil) and having these scars. Any suggestions?   Additionally, it's always difficult if someone wants to touch my face or rub it. it just gets irritated and then more zits are there the next day or so.

Hi,

There are several treatment options available for acne - topical application creams, oral medications, laser treatment etc. It would be best to consult your dermatologist to decide about the best treatment option in your case.

Comedonal (non-inflammatory) acne: local treatment with azelaic acid, salicylic acid, topical retinoids, benzoyl peroxide.

Mild papulo-pustular (inflammatory) acne: benzoyl peroxide or topical retinoids, topical antibiotics (such as erythromycin).

Moderate inflammatory acne: benzoyl peroxide or topical retinoids combined with oral antibiotics (tetracyclines). Isotretinoin is an option.

Severe inflammatory acne, nodular acne, acne resistant to the above treatments: isotretinoin also known as Accutane, can be prescribed by a doctor, or contraceptive pills with cyproterone for females with virilization or drospirenone.
