one blood blister bottom of scrotum..

by wonderingaboutherpes, Feb 25, 2006 12:00AM
hi there.. some brief info.

about 6 months ago i had  sex as far as i know i have not had any symptoms until yesterday that alarmed me.  i felt a pain when i was sitting.  i looked at the bottom of my scrotum and saw one red bulge, it appeared to be filled with mostly red fluid, because of the pain i popped the bulge.  it burned as the mostly red liquid came out.  today the lesoin that i created, through popping this bulge, is covered over by a scab and from my experiences with other blood blisters looks to be in the healing phase.  my crotch area itches some and today i started reading about herpes. so i don't know if it is simply a blood blister of sorts of herpes related and i'm concenred (based upon what i read here) that even an std test won't tell me if this is herpes or not.

thanks!

Herpes does not produce blood blisters.  I don't know why you have blood blisters.  I do know that "popping" the skin is not a good idea.  My advice is to leave the scrotum alone, and to see a doctor for proper diagnosis and, if necessary, treatment.

I suggest that you see a doctor as soon as possible, because the presence of a red bulge on the scrotum may reflect bleeding inside the scrotum.  Please get yourself seen at once.

Best.
