one red bump in outer groin

one red bump in outer groin

I have just one bump that appears on the outer groin area and a skin tag on the outer on my anus.. I'm not a doctor but I'm afraid its genital warts but I'm extremely embarassed to go see my doctor.

If I work up the courage to see one and get treated, will that treatment be permanent or will the wart surface again?

Hello,
It can be a cyst or a wart. Warts can disappear on their own and in some cases they may resurface. They may recur when you come in contact with warts or person having warts again or when the immune system of the body is low like when you are ill.

Skin tags cause no symptoms unless they are repeatedly irritated. The commonest area where they occur are armpits, groins, neckfolds etc. Treatment options include removing with scissors, freezing (using liquid nitrogen), and burning (using medical electric cautery at the physician's office). You should consult a dermatologist to find out which treatment is the best one for you. Also then get the anal skin tags for any hemorrhoids.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
